Travis & Benita Wagner are the owners and operators of Aiming
Travis is a private hot air balloon pilot. Travis does
demonstrations and glows with the hot air balloons. He typically sets
up the inflatables for all events. He is also a licensed minister and has
assisted in renewing wedding vows in the balloon. Travis has many talents; you
might even see him juggling at some events.
Benita is the detail lady of the business. She takes care of
contracts, bookkeeping, and the office. She assists Travis with set up
and take down at most of the events. Benita also works at
UW-Eau Claire in the Center for Service-Learning; serves on the steering
committee for G2 Generation to Generation; and sings on the worship team
at Harvestime Church. She juggles the schedules of work, business,
church, and the Wagner family.
It all began with a dream...it's a great story, so ask us about it sometime. Here's the shorter version:
Aiming Higher began in 2000 when we purchased a used hot air balloon
called Snowcone. While learning to fly Snowcone, Travis’ instructor
sold his cool air inflatable business to us in 2001 consisting of the
Ironman and a castle bouncer. In 2002, Snowcone was grounded (which
it can no longer fly), so we purchased a second balloon called Freedom.
In 2006, we decided to purchase two more inflatables—Fire Truck Slide
& Kiddiepillar Crawl Through— to be able to entertain larger
groups. March 2011, we sold the castle bouncer and added a new Safari
Aiming Higher’s inflatables and balloons have been to church
outreaches, company picnics, school parties and fun nights, music
festivals, city festivals and birthday parties.
Aiming Higher is located in Elk Mound, Wisconsin.
